Message From the Dzongdag

As the Dzongdag of Chhukha, I am honoured to welcome you to our Dzongkhag’s official website — a platform to connect, inform, and inspire. Guided by our vision — “A prosperous and resilient Chhukha, built on shared responsibility and good governance” — we remain committed to delivering services that uphold His Majesty’s aspirations and serve the best interests of our people.

Our focus is to unlock Chhukha’s vast potential for inclusive economic growth. We are prioritising agriculture, livestock, and tourism as key drivers for jobs, local income, and community wellbeing. By supporting farmers with better technologies, improving livestock productivity, and promoting sustainable farming practices, we aim to boost rural livelihoods. At the same time, we want to open our doors wider to visitors — showcasing our rich culture, scenic landscapes, and the warmth of our communities. Working closely with our people and partners, we will turn these opportunities into real benefits for every household across our Dzongkhag.

Aligned with the national E2B 10X initiatives, we are committed to making our administration more efficient, transparent, and people-friendly. We encourage innovation, digital services, and active citizen participation so that our people get faster, better services. Together, let us build a Chhukha that is ready for the future — dynamic, resilient, and prosperous for generations to come.
