Message From the Dzongdag

Chhukha Dzongkhag stands as a vital gateway to western and central Bhutan, rich in economic activity, cultural vibrancy, and natural beauty. From the bustling town of Phuentshogling to the peaceful villages across our 11 gewogs, Chhukha reflects Bhutan’s progress and resilience.

Home to major hydropower plants and an industrial hub in Pasakha, our Dzongkhag contributes significantly to the national economy. At the same time, our people continue to thrive through farming, livestock rearing, and community-driven growth.

Guided by our vision of balanced development and unity, we remain committed to delivering quality services and creating opportunities for all. Together, let us nurture a stronger, greener, and more prosperous Chhukha.
