In a joint effort by the Dzongkhag, the National Centre for Organic Agriculture (NCOA), and the Gelling Gewog, 10,000 asparagus crowns were distributed to seven households in Pakchenkha village, Dhap Chiwog under Gelling Gewog.
As a certified organic village, Pakchenkha is part of the Dzongkhag’s broader Organic Program, which promotes sustainable farming practices and aims to strengthen rural livelihoods. The initiative is supported by the Asian Food and Agriculture Cooperation, reflecting a continued commitment to advancing organic agriculture in the Dzongkhag.
