The 15 days Basic Entrepreneurship Course which began on 27th February 2020 concluded yesterday at Darla Gewog Centre with Dasho Dzongrab as the Chief Guest. 39 youths from 9 different Gewogs of Chhukha Dzongkhag participated in the training which was conducted with the objective to introduce participants on the business environment and business plan development. They were also introduced on the marketing, value addition and financial management aspects of business.
Most importantly, participants were trained to develop entrepreneurial mindset and learn skills to carry out new business startups. Participants shared that the trainings were immensely useful for them.
At the closing ceremony, a business idea pitching competition was also held. Some unique startup business ideas of operating a highway waste management between Thimphu and Phuentsholing highway and carrying out bamboo craft work in the rural villages were also pitched by the participants.
The Economic Development Sector of the Dzongkhag coordinated the program. It is the collaboration between Ministry of Labour and Human Resources, Thimphu TechPark and Chhukha Dzongkhag.
